Navy intensifies flood relief efforts across Western, Southern, and Sabaragamuwa Provinces
Amidst severe weather conditions, the Navy has deployed its relief teams to aid flood-affected communities in the Western, Southern, and Sabaragamuwa provinces. The teams rescued 102 individuals in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Rathnapura, Galle and Matara districts, from flood emergencies as of this evening (03rd June 2024). In addition, the Navy has facilitated the transportation by boats, for approximately 919 people to fulfil their daily necessities.

Navy thwarts illegal migration attempt, 07 individuals including 02 facilitators held in Talaimannar
A naval patrol conducted in the Urumalei area, Talaimannar in the dark hours of 02nd June 2024 led to the apprehension of 05 Sri Lankan nationals, believed to have attempted to enter into the island by illegal means. The Navy also held 02 individuals who facilitated this illegal act, in this operation

Amidst severe weather conditions, the Navy has deployed its relief teams to aid flood-affected communities in the Western, Southern, and Sabaragamuwa provinces. The teams are currently conducting relief operations in Colombo, Kalutara, Rathnapura, Galle, and Matara districts, using boats to rescue stranded individuals and provide for their daily needs.
