A special operation conducted by the Sri Lanka Navy led to the seizure of an Indian trawler (01) poaching in Sri Lankan waters and apprehension of 04 Indian fishermen. The operation was conducted off the Kovilan Lighthouse, Jaffna today (04th September 2024).

A coordinated search operation conducted by the Navy and Police in the Arippu area on 03rd September 2024 led to the apprehension of 02 suspects with 31g and 400mg of Crystal Methamphetamine (ICE), made ready to sell. The operation also resulted in the seizure of a motorbike used for this illegal act.
