A coordinated search operation conducted by the Navy and Police Narcotic Bureau, in Nagavilluwa, Puttalam on 01st November 2024 led to the apprehension of 02 suspects with 8g of Crystal Methamphetamine (ICE), 320 foreign cigarettes, 440 litres of Goda and 100 litres of illicit liquor.

The Sri Lanka Navy apprehended 06 persons for their involvement in illegal fishing using unauthorized nets, during a search operation conducted in the sea area of Adukkupadu, Trincomalee on 01st November 2024. The operation also resulted in the seizure of a dinghy used for this illegal activity.
