In an operation on 06 Jun 25, the Sri Lanka Navy in the Nadukkuda sea area of Mannar, led to the apprehension of 04 suspects and seizure of 02 dinghies loaded with around 1,314kg of smuggled Kendu leaves and other items, attempting to smuggle into the country.

In a joint operation on the night of 05 Jun 25, the Sri Lanka Navy and Police intercepted a van in Thillayadi, Puttalam, seizing approximately 386kg of Kendu leaves, believed to have been smuggled into the country, and a van used for this racket.
