Navy NSVU under the guidance of the President NSVU offered a special lunch for the residential patients of ward no 7 of Mulleriyawa Interim Home which is maintained by the NSVU , after completion of the required repairs to the ward, on 1^st February 2020.

The President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs. Arundathie Udithamala Jayaneththi met with the new Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha Unit of the Ministry of Defence (MoD SVU) Mrs. Chithrani Gunaratne at the SVU office in the Ministry of Defence on 30^th January 2020.

The Chairperson of the Pakistan Navy Women Association, Mrs. Shaheena Abbasi paid a visit to the Naval Preschool and Daycare Centre in Welisara today (27^th January 2020).

A function to bid farewell to Mrs. Shayani Poornima Vithanage and Mrs. Menaka Serasinghe who bade adieu to their duties of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) was held on a grand note under the patronage of the NSVU President, Mrs. Arundathie Udithamala Jayanetti, Vice President and its members at the Western Naval Command Headquarters, on 03^th January 2020.

A softball cricket tournament including other recreational activities organized for the entertainment of children in school vacation, under the guidance of the honourable President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Arundathi Udithamala Jayaneththi was held with the participation of the President NSVU, at the Cricket ground of Naval Institute of Technology, Welisara from 0900-1400 hrs on 29^th December 2019.

As a welfare donation, under the guidance of the honourable President of NSVU, a sum of Rs.500000/= was donated by NSVU to Able Seaman WGDS Bandara XS 105447 who is in the active service, for constructing a new house. The donation was handed over by the honourable President of NSVU on 19^th December 2019. Further, on the same day, school equipment and stationary required for the children of the Engineering Technician 1 who sacrificed his life for the motherland in action, were donated by the honourable President of NSVU.

‘Piyawarak Heta’, an initiative by the Director and staff of Senehasa Education, Resource, Research and Information Centre to showcase the creative abilities of the differently able children being educated by the centre, was inaugurated by the President of Navy Seva Wanitha Unit Mrs Arundathi Udithamala Jayaneththi on the 03^rd December.

The new Naval Preschool constructed under the directives of the President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) at SLNS Pandukabhaya in the North Central Naval Command, was declared open by Commander of the Navy following religious rituals on 27^th November 2019. The initiative will provide an environment for children to explore, gain a sense of self, play with peers and build self-confidence.

Under the directives of the President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) and the supervision of Commander Eastern Naval Area and his beloved wife, the annual concert of the Naval Preschool at SLNS Tissa was held on a high note at the Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium of Naval & Maritime Academy on 26^th November 2019.

The annual concert of SLNS Dakshina Pre School which was organized under the guidance of the honourable president of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit and under the supervision of the Commander Southern Naval Area and Mrs. Yasintha Wijesekara, was held at the main auditorium of SLNS Nipuna, on 23^rd November 2019.
