ශ්රී ලංකා නාවික හමුදා මූලස්ථානයේදී රාජ්ය විද්යුත් ප්රසම්පාදන ක්රමවේදය (e-GP) පිළිබඳ දැනුවත් කිරීමේ වැඩසටහනක්
In a commitment to enhancing transparency, efficiency, and accountability within its procurement processes, the Sri Lanka Navy hosted an awareness programme on the electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) system. Held under the distinguished patronage of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, the event took place at Navy Headquarters on 18 Jun 26.
Addressing the gathering, the Commander of the Navy emphasized the vital importance of fully integrating the e-GP system into naval operations to align seamlessly with the government's broader digital transformation agenda. The Navy Commander also noted the Navy has made major progress in streamlining e-procurement, ensuring faster, more transparent, and more reliable acquisition through technology.
The session was enriched by the expert contributions of Mr. Thushara Seneweera, Additional Director General of the Department of Public Finance and Mr. Chameekara Ranathunga, Consultant e-GP Implementation and capacity building expert attached to the Asian Development Bank (ADB). They praised the Sri Lanka Navy for its rapid, successful rollout, calling it an inspiring model for other state agencies.
The awareness session was attended by a gathering of naval personnel including Director Generals of the Navy.
