Sri Lanka Navy athletes made the nation proud by securing medals at the South Asian Athletics Championships 2025 held in Ranchi, India, from 24 to 26 Oct 25. The championship brought together top athletes from South Asian countries, showcasing regional athletic excellence.

The 9th Navy Open Shooting Championship – 2025 was successfully conducted at the Sri Lanka Navy Small-bore Firing Range Complex in Welisara from 16 to 28 Oct 25. The Sri Lanka Navy Musketry Pool showcased impressive performance at this tournament, securing a number of achievements.

The Inter-Command Volleyball Championship 2025 was held from 03 to 08 October at the Commander Parakrama Samaraweera Memorial Indoor Sports Complex, Welisara. Demonstrating outstanding skill and teamwork, the Naval Fleet Command emerged victorious in the men’s championship, while the Southern Naval Command claimed the women’s title. The finals of the tournament was graced by the Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jagath Kumara.

The Sri Lanka Navy secured a podium finish at the 13th Defence Services Motorcycling Championship, held on 11 Sep 25 at the Gajaba Super Cross Track, Saliyapura.

The Sri Lanka Navy delivered a commanding performance at the National Taekwondo Poomsae Championship 2025, securing a prestigious position on the national podium. The event, hosted by the Sri Lanka Taekwondo Federation on 06 September at the Sports Ministry Indoor Gymnasium in Wathupitiwala, featured top competitors from the Armed Forces, Police, and registered clubs across the nation.

The Naval Dockyard, Trincomalee became the centre of intense sporting action from 02 to 05 Sep 25, hosting the Navy Inter-Command Squash Championship. The competition showcased exceptional talent and competitive spirit from across Naval Commands.

A Navy rider speeded off to a podium glory at “Gajaba Supercross 2025”, organized by Sri Lanka Auto Sports Drivers Association. The event was held at the Gajaba Racing Track in Saliyapura on 31 Aug 25.

The Western Naval Command emerged champion of the ‘Inter-Command Tennis Championship - 2025,’ following a week of intense competition at the Naval and Maritime Academy Tennis Court in Trincomalee. The tournament, which ran from 27 Aug to 02 Sep, concluded with the Training Command securing the runner-up position.

The Sri Lanka Navy women’s cricket team has secured a resounding victory, claiming the championship title in the Sri Lanka Cricket Domestic Major League Women’s Limited Overs Tournament 2025 without a single defeat. The tournament, organized by Sri Lanka Cricket and featuring ten of the island's premier sports clubs, ran from 30 Jul to 17 Aug 25.

The Sri Lanka Navy secured a resounding victory at the Intermediate Boxing Tournament – 2025, organized by the Sri Lanka Boxing Association and held on 21 Aug 25 at the Royal-MAS Arena Indoor Boxing Stadium, Colombo.
