The Eastern Naval Command claimed the men’s title in a nail-biting final, while the Training Command dominated the women’s segment, capping off three days of thrilling rugby action.

A Navy rider speeded off to a podium glory at “Walawa Supercross 2025”, organized by Southern Motor Sports Club. The event was held at the Craftsman Auto Drome gravel track in Udawalawa on 13 Jul 25.

The Western Naval Command emerged victorious in the Inter-Command Football Tournament 2025, securing a thrilling 2-1 win over the Training Command in the final held at the Welisara Navy Ground on 11 Jul 25.

The International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) of Sri Lanka successfully conducted the Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC) and Handgun Level III National Shooting Tournament from 18 to 22 Jun 25 at the Navy Pistol Range, Welisara. The event culminated in an awards ceremony at the Wave n’ Lake Navy Hall on 22 Jun 25, graced by the Hon. Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd) as the chief guest.

The Sri Lanka Navy showcased its competitive spirit at the Mahameruwa Rallycross, securing a podium finish (3rd) in the Standard 250cc event on 29 Jun 25. The Inter-Command Boxing Championship 2025, held from 27 to 30 Jun 25 at the Naval Dockyard Boxing Ring in Trincomalee, concluded with thrilling victories as the Northwestern Naval Command and the Training Command emerged champions in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively.

The Inter Command Tug of War Championship concluded in a thrilling finish on 14 Jun 25 at SLNS Pandukabhaya, as Commands battled for supremacy in this classic test of strength and strategy. In a gripping showdown, the Western and North Central Naval Commands secured championships in men’s and women’s categories respectively.

Sri Lanka Navy athlete Woman Ordinary Seaman Lakshima Mendis, who took part in the women’s 4x400m relay and the 4x400m mixed relay teams of Sri Lanka, made her nation proud by securing two (02) bronze medals at the 26th Asian Athletics Championships held from 27 to 31 May 25 in Gumi, Republic of Korea.

The 13th Defence Services Wushu Championship concluded successfully from 02 to 04 Jun 25, at the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Indoor Sports Complex in Ambepussa. The Sri Lanka Navy delivered an impressive performance, securing the overall runners-up position in both the men's and women's categories.

The finals of Inter-Command Athletic Championship – 2025 came to a thrilling conclusion on 10 and 11 May 25 at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium, Diyagama. The Training Command stole the show with both men’s and women’s championships.
