Navy conducts community health promotion programme in Trincomalee

The Sri Lanka Navy conducted a community health promotion programme at the office of Road Development Authority in Trincomalee on 20 July 2026, in line with the ‘Arogya’ National Wellness Programme under the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ National Programme.

The programme focused on raising public awareness of health issues and enhancing the community’s ability to respond to medical emergencies. In addition, medical personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command conducted breast cancer screening for participants.

As a key stakeholder of the Presidential Task Force implementing the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ National Programme, the Sri Lanka Navy continues to support initiatives that promote public health and well-being. Through programmes of this nature, the Navy aims to contribute to building a healthier and more resilient community.
