Suspect nabbed with electronic cigarettes in Grandpass

In a coordinated effort to curb illegal activities, the Sri Lanka Navy, in collaboration with the Police Special Task Force (STF), arrested a suspect attempting to sell foreign electronic cigarettes in the Grandpass area on 13 Jun 26.

The search operation was conducted by SLNS Rangala in the Western Naval Command alongside the Police STF. During the search, security personnel inspected a suspicious individual and recovered 31 foreign e-cigarettes intended for unlawful sale, leading to suspect’s arrest.

The arrested suspect was identified as a 26-year-old resident of Colombo. Following the arrest the suspect along with the seized electronic cigarettes was handed over to the Grandpass Police for further legal proceedings.
